Why men should drink a glass of organic milk every day?

Why is milk, especially organic milk, important for adult males? This brings up several important points. Let’s consider what the deficiency of vital nutrients that milk contains, primarily calcium, can do.

Can milk fight osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is gradually becoming a major public health concern. In fact, one in five men over the age of 50 suffers a broken bone because of osteoporosis. When men start aging, a decreases in bone and muscle mass caused by hormonal changes and decreased physical activity can play a major role in health deterioration. Inadequate dietary calcium intake is also said to be the cause of some intestinal issues.
There are other ways to decrease your risk of osteoporosis. These include regular physical activity, abstinence from alcohol and cigarettes, diet low on saturated fat and salt. The other way of course is to consume milk – the better the quality of milk, the lesser the risk. Milk is also one of the best muscle foods. While 20% of milk contains protein the rest contains casein – both are high-quality proteins. Whey is known as a "fast protein" because it's quickly broken down into amino acids and absorbed into the bloodstream. That makes it a very good protein to consume after your workout.

Casein, on the other hand, is digested more slowly. So it's ideal for providing your body with a steady supply of smaller amounts of protein for a longer period of time—like between meals or while you sleep. Since milk provides both, one big glass gives your body an ideal combination of muscle-building proteins.

Milk is good but which one?

Indeed, milk for men is an ideal food. But what we need to consider here is the quality of the milk you are consuming? There have been considerable discussions regarding the unhygienic conditions in which the diary milk is processed. However, there lies an option in organic milk.  This leads to another important aspect of organic milk. Is organic milk better than the regular dairy milk?

The answer is yes, and it’s official. Research has shown that when averaged over a 12-month period, organic milk contained 62% more beneficial ‘omega-3 fatty acids’ compared to non-organic milk. Eating too many omega-6s and not balancing them with omega-3s may interfere with your blood pressure and can even disrupt reproductive functions.

Organic milk contains 25% fewer omega-6s. In fact, the major omega-3 ALA in milk, specifically organic milk, is so favourable that switching to whole, organic milk products could do wonders in balancing the unwanted fatty acid levels in the body, the researchers note.
So, go ahead and consume your glass of organic milk. This perhaps is the best way to stay fit for your entire life.
